 Looking back, magick++ is enabled by default, if the c++ deps are
present, so this sounds like new breakage, rather than a new thing
that isn't yet ready.  Alternatively, perhaps the tests need to be
updated.  I've no idea what version is current, but it wouldn't be
the first time that an IM version selected for the book had problems
somewhere.

 Last time I looked, everything at IM had moved to forums and I
thought their lists were dead or given over to spam - not the
easiest of packages to look for known bugs.
