Hello Thorsten, This is most probably the cause. I have no additional plugins installed and yet this version of firefox is periodically dumping its core. I will apply that patch and see what happens. Thanks for this. Does the development team think that this patch should be made available on linuxfromscratch.org? I have no idea how many people have experienced this crashing. If this patch solves it for me as well, we have at least two people who have solved this issue.
