Hello,

This was proposed a while back but we did not reach a conclusion on it
as some packages within gnome seemed to still need them.

This time around I deliberately did not install these packages:

gnome-icon-theme-3.12.0
gnome-icon-theme-extras-3.12.0
gnome-icon-theme-symbolic-3.12.0

After installing the full gnome desktop nothing complained about these
packages missing during compilation and from what I can tell no icons
are missing because these packages were not installed.

I suspect that anything that has these as a dependency could have them
replaced by gnome-themes-standard-3.14.2.2.

I am about to go through the nightmare of changing the systemd branch
now that I know for sure that it will not break the build.

Anything that makes use of these three packages outside of the gnome
environment may well be able to use the gnome-themes-standard or
adwaita-icon-theme instead.

Regards,

Christopher.
