I would definitely use QTerminal, LXImage-QT, Obconf, and JuffEd, but I

should have these style of programs, just look at our KDE, LXDE, and
XFCE
sections.
Doug, guys,
As posted yesterday, I gave up on including JuffEd.
But this is not a closed subject. We have only terminal and *gtk* based
editors, and surely a *Qt* based editor is missing in BLFS. Thus it is a
point beyond LXQt discussion, but which fits in there as editor of
choice.
We do have the kde editor, kate which is based on qt5/kf5. That is
probably a little heavier than you had in mind, but is an option.
And is DE dependent.
Not exactly. It is KF5 dependent which is a set of libraries, not a DE.
The DE for KDE5 is Plasma.
I was not considering this nor others such as gedit
or mousepad. But the three are additional arguments as given first by
Doug. It should have an editor to be minimally complete. LSDE did not
have much problem, because even gvim could be considered.
There are some other options for a lightweight qt based editor. See

Thanks for this great URL!!!
Unfortunately, I have seen there that JuffEd is the number one in two
important points:
{{{
*Most downloaded*:
JuffEd
Score 84%
Downloads: 8114
XHTML Wysiwyg Qeditor
Score 68%
Downloads: 5130
...
}}}
{{{
*Highest rated*
JuffEd
Score 84%
PLCEdit 2.2.1
Score 80%
...
}}}
Personally I prefer vim in a virtual terminal.
I have the almost the same preference: gvim. But definitely a "normal"
user (e.g. my sister) would hate (if it exists) QVim.
Does you sister do BLFS? :) Kidding! Kidding!
