I'll bear that in mind.  But that box is using sddm and xfce.  I'll
go back to the gcc6 build to check that, and if it is ok there I'll
go back to gcc5 and try general copy and paste, and then close
firefox and reopen it.  One possibility is that the system patch is
breaking things.
