As for any reported problem, potentially yes.  I'm just going out
now, I'll take a look later at my newest system to see if I an gain
any insights.

All that I have found since my previous reply is that the problem is
only if system llvm has the -D flag to enable FFI: but I checked my
llvm script in git blame and I've been building like that for years.
