Hi all
For anybody using xfce4 as their desktop, I wanted to share my progress
regarding the new release.
I have now compiled all new packages in the usual order, without any
problem. Just to be sure, I have also re-compiled those packages in the
xfce chapter (garcon, xfce4-notifyd) that got no new versions, just to
be sure.
I could then successfully log in to my desktop, without any problems,
everything that was newly compiled seems to work. I have not tested all
other applications yet, but I can confirm that at least xfce4-terminal
needs a recompile, while xfce4-screenshooter does not.
I will do further test later and then update all the pages.
But in short: it seems that an upgrade will go very smoothly and there
won't be many changes in the book for the new release, which is quite nice.
