Actually, I don't know. And I wish I did. But the way I build stuff,
it isn't usually an issue for me. Here's why.

Too many times I've been in the middle of a rather long build (I don't
build from within a GNOME session, I build from another PC ssh'd into
the GNOME PC) and I found myself going over to the GNOME session and
browsing and whatever and I've noticed that it skews the disk space
(because of browser cache files) and the SBU timings of the build I
was doing.

So now, I typically just shut down the GNOME session and restart when
I want GNOME again. Which, to me, isn't that big of a deal, as it is
just clicking the logout applet in the panel, and then typing 'startx'
again to restart GNOME.
