Nope, I'm still sticking with gcc 3.x until 4.x no longer requires patching the source (of target applications) to build stuff. It turns out it was blackbox, which was looking for the old X11R6 libraries. I recompiled, but it's still not happy. So I guess it's time to look for a replacement... probably OpenBox so I won't have to learn new configuration formats. I wouldn't dare ignite a religious war by asking what everyone's favorite minimalist WM is :-) -- Peter B.
