Why?

At that point, one must have already built libxml2. There is a great
big note on the libxml2 instructions that says some applications (it
even uses gnome-doc-utils by name) will require the Python module.

How much more clear could we make the instructions? I hate redundancy,
and it seems that putting a note on the libxml2 page like there is,
and also a note saying "If you didn't install the Python module like
you were advised to in the libxml2 instructions, Gnome Doc Utils
won't run properly, would be redundant.

Wouldn't that be totally redundant? Hey, I'll do whatever it takes
to ensure clarity, but not at the expense of dumbing down the
instructions. There has been *one* (known) case of someone not
following the book's libxml2 instructions in all the time since
Gnome Doc Utils has been added to the book. And this instance was
caused because the builder didn't install Python before libxml2.

Perhaps others could contribute a voice also? As I said, I'll do
whatever it takes, but I'd sure hate to start putting redundant,
circular notes in the book. Keep in mind that as the author of the
instructions, I see it the way I *hope* it is perceived by others,
not necessarilly *how* it is perceived by others, so my look at
things could be skewed.
