Why?
At that point, one must have already built libxml2. There is a great
big note on the libxml2 instructions that says some applications (it
even uses gnome-doc-utils by name) will require the Python module.
I've gotta agree with Randy. It already tells you on the libxml2 page
why you'd want to build with Python. If you get to gnome-doc-utils
much later and have forgotten about that, well, I don't know what to
say. It seems excessive to me. Maybe a small note on the
gnome-doc-utils page.
