I didn't apply any of the patches in the book and it compiled with quite a few warnings. More than earlier version. After the install I started it from the command line and it started playing the DVD without stopping at the menu. The window I started it from was streaming these messages. a52: CRC check failed! 0.115 ct: -1.775 6480/6462 6% 0% 2.9% 7 0 a52: error at resampling a52: CRC check failed! 0.122 ct: -1.809 6490/6472 6% 0% 2.9% 7 0 a52: error at resampling a52: CRC check failed! 0.166 ct: -1.828 6498/6480 6% 0% 2.9% 7 0 a52: error at resampling a52: CRC check failed! 0.032 ct: -1.862 6507/6489 6% 0% 2.9% 7 0 a52: error at resampling a52: CRC check failed! 0.015 ct: -1.868 6509/6491 6% 0% 2.9% 7 0 a52: error at resampling There was no sound and the picture was broken large random pixles of unintelligent data bouncing around. The same video runs fine in totem. Any ideas? Arnie
Looks like your liba52 is corrupt, try reinstalling it from http://liba52.sourceforge.net/. That should fix the problem. Tijnema -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE-----
