Hi, [As too often: Sorry for the late reply.]

I have a normal X server running on the machine, and in one xterm I chroot and build a new (B)LFS there. In that chrooted environment, I can't start, e.g., an xterm. I have no sshd running nor am I using ssh in the new LFS. I am able, however, to start an xterm if the server doesn't run on the same machine. No problem here. (And no ssh either.) Thanks for the thoughts, anyway.
