Current system:

Pentium D 930
Kernel 2.6.17.7 (yes, it's old. Had an uptime of almost a year before this)

Desktop motherboard, 945P chipset, 2 gigs ddr2 667, PCI and PCIe

New board:
Server board PCI, PCIe, PCI-X
Mukilteo(MCH) E7230 chipset
2 gigs unbuffered ECC

(URL is http://www.arima.com.tw/server/Product/ViewProduct.asp?View=MT11X)

Swap the board, error on boot of:

"Unknown interrupt or fault at EIP 00010006 00000060 c036ba96"

I tried acpi=off on the grub line, no joy. Google isn't much help
either, as most of the very few posts on this refer to ACPI and "bigmem"
style kernels using the intel extension for 4+ gigs on 32 bit systems,
which doesn't apply here as I'm not running that much memory.

Anyone have an ideas on where to begin with this one? Would a kernel
compile do it, or is it time to upgrade the install as a whole?

Thanks.
