1. Have you tried, say in console: $ ping linuxfromscratch.org Your IP resolution must probably have something to do with /etc/resolv.conf rather than Firefox.
2. Can't help much with flash binary blob. We are in this LFS thing because FOSS is superior right? 3. This gtk bug seems to be related to http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=580511 , it should be fixed upstream in the gtk 2.16 branch by now. Hopes that helps, Bonne chance, Dominic.
