There are more of us out here. When I first started using linux, I read
the sage advice to stay away from the gui if you wanted to learn linux/unix.
I followed this advice and am still learning. Even when I have X installed
I spend more at the console than the gui and my X stuff is as minimal as 
possible.

I do like Midnight Commander, it works either place and saves a lot of
keystrokes.
