I'm with Andrew on this - works ok for me. I put 1.4.3 on my new system this week, and came upon those references while I was trying to find what had happened to the "print test page" option - (click on the _queue_ under 'printers', then it's on the 'maintenance' tab. You can see my scripts in what I posted the other day - using /dev/usb/lp0, udev-151, 2.6.32.12, and usblp.o is compiled into my kernel. Undoubtedly there is some sort of problem here, but many are not affected. Perhaps it's an old udev/rules, or perhaps its only when built as a module, or even only on old kernels. ĸen -- After tragedy, and farce, "OMG poneys!" -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
