I appeciate the responses. As William noted I already have 2.0.17 so I have both versions to play with and compare their merits. I like the single version out-of-box it shows the hostnames. IIRC , the Inetutils does so also with an additional runtime parameter. As far as IPv6, I think I disabled it in the bind configration because of annoying log errors. THX to Thomas for the tip about the patch.
