I still fail to notice the problem in current instructions. They've been 
there for a while and no one yet has complained.

Default WebKiTGTK+ instructions will build GTK+3 version since it is 
used (required) by far more packages than the GTK+2 one.

That's why there is a note saying "this must be compiled with the GTK+ 2 
backend for the Gimp to use it as its help browser". What's wrong with 
it? This just tries to point out that default WebKitGTK+ build won't 
work here.

And on WebKitGTK+ page, there is a note in command explanations that 
says "--with-gtk=2.0 --disable-webkit2: These parameters force 
WebKitGTK+ to compile against GTK+ 2, even if GTK+ 3 is also installed." 
which (at least for me) clearly says that when you use these commands, 
WebKitGTK+ will be built against GTK+2.
