I remember seeing soemthing similar in BLFS-7.5. Years ago I had a similar problem and the solution then was for me to reinstate gvfs. I suspect yet another package is now required for gnome help to work. I'm not interested-enough in gnome to look at this in detail, I only still use two gnome applications (evince and gucharmap), I no longer build yelp, and evince doesn't seem to have any help anyway. For gucharmap, without yelp, I get "operation not supported". The links that google found for "gnome help" stopped at 2.32. https://help.gnome.org/admin//system-admin-guide/ doesn't appear to say anything about the help system in recent versions. The current wiki information for yelp is at https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Yelp from which I guess that something to do with Mallard is the problem (sounds a bit ducky!). I do not see anything _obvious_ at either http://projectmallard.org/ or http://projectmallard.org/about/learn/tenminutes ĸen -- Nanny Ogg usually went to bed early. After all, she was an old lady.
