One line in the output says: CPU: 0 PID: 1 Comm: swapper/0 Not tainted 4.4.2 #1 This might be the version of the kernel and LFS 7.9 is my only Linux with such a new kernel. If it is not the version I can only say that my other Linux systems boot.

Please note that Mint 17.3 boots from the ssd in question. LFS 7.7 is command line only without additional mount operations. Sorry to say but I do not have my LFS 7.8 any more.
