You're right. I wish I could use a newer kernel. Eventually, maybe
there will be a new one that works with my hardware (T400 ThinkPad
with LibreBoot BIOS from MiniFree). The latest I've been able to get
to work is the 4.1.y branch. 4.1.28 had serious memory leak issues. I
guess they aren't all fixed. Maybe I'll go back to an older long term
release. The one with the latest EOL set is 3.16 maintained by Ben
Hutchings, but then there's no guarantee that it will work with the
newest LFS.
