from my recent build, this not required anymore. Wicd ships a systemd
unit file with it. It should have been installed when doing make install.
Can you point me to where the BLFS book describes all this?
It doesn't. In most cases we do not cover configuration in detail. The
book is already about 2000 pages long if you printed it on paper.
