Good news/bad news ...
I believe I fixed the problem of Firefox 57 not opening as maximized by
nuking, then rebuilding ./mozilla/firefox. It seems now to be
consistently opening as maximized.
Unfortunately, the problems are probably not related as "File/File Open"
still opens too high. I doubt that's a BLFS problem and perhaps Firefox
will fix it in a new release.
