My favorite site for news is the text only version of the Christian Science
Monitor. It is nicely laid out with headings separating the sections like
"World", "USA", and "Commentary", and each story is on it's own page off the
main page. The URL is

In case anyone is concerned, there is only one religious article in each
issue, and it is easily avoided if you choose to simply not click on that
link.
