I do believe that replacing a motherboard is a major change for a computer 
to handle.  LOL.

Seriously though, let me check into that, and let you know.

Obviously, if it happened that way with a previous system of yours, it might 
indeed fail, but it also depends on the computer manufacturer.

I do know that replacing major components on name brand computers is 
increasingly difficult as name brand computers prefer proprietary hardware 
installed on their system, but like I said, I will have to check that out 
for you.
