Hello Linda, I will try to answer each of your questions.
First, wireless speaker. I use a device call squeezebox which is a wireless receiver attached to your stereo system. You control it from your computer using a software call SlimServer. You can play music from your hard drive and Internet radio. The only drawback is that the squeezebox is not cheap. You can also create playlists and it takes some doing to use it with Jaws. I finally mastered the SlimServer software pretty well by trial and error. The squeezebox comes with remote control so that a sighted person can change the music selection and do other things that you can do on the computer. As far as taking your speakers outside, that's a problem unless you have something connected to your main stereo system that can transmit the music to the speakers. I used to have Radio Shack wireless speakers, but it was difficult to tune in anything clearly and I would get interference and static when I move around. Needless to say, I got rid of them. They would work pretty well when the speakers were placed near the transmitter which was attached to the stereo system. If you want to check out squeezebox and SlimServer, here is the URL: http://www.slimdevices.com/ Second, recording radio shows You got a reply about Replay AV (AV stands for audio video). I have been using this software for quite a while recording many broadcast off the Internet. The latest version 8 works great and there are scripts for it. I highly recommend Replay AV. It also comes with a converter program to convert the recordings to MP3 for example. It is fairly simple to use. Third, the mouse. I like the idea of a wireless mouse that uses 2 double a batteries. The receiver is plugged into your USB and the mouse has an on/off switch. So, turn off the mouse and put it way out of your reach. Hope this helps, Lennie At 10:51 PM 8/5/2007, you wrote: >Does anyone have extra speakers for other rooms so they can hear their >computer anywhere in the house?
