Hi! I just got a wireless speaker that might be of interest. It uses the 900 MHZ band, and even though I have a cordless phone that also uses that band, there hasn't been any real interference. I'm not sure of the manufacturer of the speaker I have, but it's weather resistant, and has really good sound. Both the speaker and it's transmitter are capable of running on batteries, so it's probably the most portable sollution you're ever going to find.
