If you open up internet explorer, press the alt key to get to the menu bar, go over to tools using your left arrow, then arrow down till you hear windows update or whatever it says. Press enter on this. Alternatively, you can go to the start menu, arrow down, and unless it was deleted, one of the options should be microsoft update. this will take you to the windows update page. You should see an express button and a custom button. If you just want the critical updates, press the express button. if there are any updates, it will eventually refresh the page and tell you. thanks Nimer J
