I also tried Windows Defender now and I think I figured out how to set it so
that it would show up permanently in the system tray.
Well, there are various tabs in the program and in fact not much
JAWS-cursoring is necessary.

1. tab to "tools" and enter
2. then tab until you get to "options" and enter
3. there are various checkboxes and options to make various settings; tab
until you get to two radiobuttons; when JAWS-cursoring the text before the
buttons should read "choose when the Windows Defender appears in the
notification area"; on default it's set to "only if Windows Defender detects
an action to take"; so arrow down once to check "always"; then tab till you
get to "save" and enter and close the program by alt+F4.
After this change the program should be shown in the system tray and even
after the startup of the computer.
