WMA is the Windows Media Audio format, which is a proprietary version of an
MP3 file. The Zen Stone will play both formats. I use my Zen Stone with
many MP3 files and they work great. The only problem I have run across is
if the MP3 file is recorded using the Variable Bit Rate instead of the
constant Bit Rate. If you try to fast forward while playing a VBR MP3 file,
the player freaks out and sometimes locks up. Creative advised me to play
only MP3 files recorded using CBR.
