Yes I started out with OSCAR myself back in 1995 on a DOS 6.2 machine which is still in the other room as a matter of fact. OSCAR and the scanner are both long gone but the old computer still works fine and does serve a purpose here to this day so I keep it around. Actually I started out with open book 5 as well in 2001 and have gradually upgraded over the years. Version 8 is as good as advertised actually and I like it very much.
