Sorry to hear about your problems with VLC I have never had to use the Jaws cursor. I Downloaded my version from the Jaw User program page. I am using Jaws 8 with it and it appears to read all the menus fine. . You could possibly check out the hotkeys available by checking through the Preferences menu option under settings. You need to go to Interfaces and then hotkeys.
I have virtualised part of this screen so that you can get some kind of idea though some bits comes out a bit garbled. Hope this helps David Griffith Preferences Hotkeys settings Video Input / Codecs Fullscreen Alt Ctrl Shift f Stream output Advanced Play/Pause Alt Ctrl Shift Space Playlist Interface Faster Alt Ctrl Shift + 612 Control interfaces Gestures Slower 612 Growl Alt Ctrl Shift - MSN NT Service Next Alt Ctrl Shift n Telnet Hotkeys settings Previous Alt Ctrl Shift p Main interfaces Stop Alt Ctrl Shift s Very short backwards jump Alt Ctrl Shift Left Very short forward jump Alt Ctrl Shift Right Short backwards jump Alt Ctrl Shift Left Short forward jump Alt Ctrl Shift Right Medium backwards jump Alt Ctrl Shift Left Medium forward jump Alt Ctrl Shift Right Long backwards jump Alt Ctrl Shift Left Long forward jump Alt Ctrl Shift Right Quit Alt Ctrl Shift q Hotkeys settings Save Cancel Reset All Advanced options -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jacob Kruger Sent: Tuesday, 06 May 2008 21:59 To: Emccullough1; [email protected] Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] DVD player program Ok. Along the lines of my previous hassles, I just tried: vlc-0.8.6f-win32.exe It's completely inaccessible, and I could nowhere find anything more than previous track, next track etc. etc., as well as options for selecting various subtitle languages, but nothing to do with narration languages, no menu structure, no really accessible buttons to tab around etc. etc. Just sort of managed to find something called a menu button, which then reacts to a right-click, but with only some menu options as such. Maybe this is a newer version or something, but for now, think I'll have to just stick with Windows media player.
