John

If I had read this last night, I would not have upgraded. however, I
installed Service Pack 3 last evening and am having no problems with Outlook
2000 or any of the other MS office 2000 applications. I have WIN XP pro
here and at the office and all is working well

Subject: [Blind-Computing] WARNING FOR ALL OUTLOOK 2000 USERS

Up until recently, I was using Office 2000 and Windows XP. That was not a
problem until I loaded Service Pack 3. Apparently, some of the changes
created by that modification make Outlook 2000 no longer accessible. The
program is there but it won't open at all.

There are patches available from Microsoft on the Office page but they
don't seem to work. My only choice was to upgrade to Office 2003. As soon
as I did, Outlook became accessible again.

Office 2000 including Word, Outlook, Excel and so on was a very popular
program in its day. However, if you are running Office 2000 in your XP
machine, you might want to keep the problems we had in mind.
