You might have to go into the Control Panel/Sounds dialogs to tell your
laptop to use the Blue Tooth audio device. In 2000 you get there as
follows:

1)  Open the "START" menu.

2) Select the "SETTINGS" menu item.

3)  Select "CONTROL PANEL"

4) Open the "SOUNDS" menu item.

5) Move to the "Audio" tab -- from here follow the prompts to instruct the
sounds be directed through the Blue Tooth device.

This is how it's done in Windows 2000, I'm not sure how one would do the
same task via your OS.

One thing to remember is that this will make the Blue Tooth device the
default sound device, this may not be desirable. You might set up a JAWS
Icon that will instruct JAWS to speak through the Blue Tooth device
specifically although this will not have your native PC sounds channel
through the Blue Tooth device. I have a Turtle Beach USB sound device that
I can instruct JAWS to use in the JFW.INI file as follows:

        Synth3Name=eloqUSB
        Synth3LongName=Eloquence via USB for JAWS
        Synth3Driver=eloq
        Synth3Port=USB Audio Device

I'll try to explain each of these lines and their respective role in
instructing JAWS to deploy the Turtle Beach sound device:

SYNTH3NAME=eloqUSB - When loading JAWS the "/s" switch can be used to tell
JAWS which synthesizer to use, the "SYNTH#NAME" value is arbitrary but , of
course, must be unique to all other synthesizer names used in the specific
JFW.INI file. Thus, I have an ICON set up with the following "Target" line
for using my Turtle Beach device:

        ...\JFW.EXE /seloqUSB

SYNTH3LONGNAME=Eloquence via USB for JAWS - Whatever you place in the value
here is what you'll see when you open the JAWS menu and select "Change
Synthesizer" menu item. It too is arbitrary but should reflect your value
(i.e., "Eloquence via Blue Tooth")

Synth3Driver=eloq - If you are using Eloquence this MUST BE the value here.
It tells JAWS you are using the Eloquence speech engine and is essentially
the driver name for that software. If you're using a different speech
engine you'll have to determine that driver name and whether or not you can
direct it to an alternative sound device.

Synth3Port=USB Audio Device - The value in this field is available via the
"Audio" tab in the Sounds element of the Control Panel. This value must be
the exact same as what is listed in that dialog, it identifies the hardware
itself.
