Hi Nancy,

There certainly is a way to set your computer so that it never goes into 
sleep mode.  Follow these steps:
1.  Press Windows key, then C to launch the Control Panel.
2. Press P repeatedly until you reach Power Options, and press Enter.  You 
will be in the Power Schemes dialog .
3. Tab repeatedly until you reach the combo box labeled "Settings for Power 
Management Power Scheme System Standby:".
4. Arrow down the list of options until you reach "Never".
5. Tab to the next combo box, "...System Hibernates:", and make sure it is 
also set to "Never".
6. Tab to Okay button and press Space, then press Alt + F4 to close Control 
Panel.
