Hi Nancy, There certainly is a way to set your computer so that it never goes into sleep mode. Follow these steps: 1. Press Windows key, then C to launch the Control Panel. 2. Press P repeatedly until you reach Power Options, and press Enter. You will be in the Power Schemes dialog . 3. Tab repeatedly until you reach the combo box labeled "Settings for Power Management Power Scheme System Standby:". 4. Arrow down the list of options until you reach "Never". 5. Tab to the next combo box, "...System Hibernates:", and make sure it is also set to "Never". 6. Tab to Okay button and press Space, then press Alt + F4 to close Control Panel.
Hope you find this helpful. ----- Original Message ----- From: "nancy hays" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <blind-computing@jaws-users.com> Sent: Monday, September 01, 2008 3:26 PM Subject: [Blind-Computing] Sleep mode > Hi all, I am a computer novice and was wondering if there is a way of > avoiding the computer going into sleep mode?
