OK
Try this

Press Windows key plus E to open Explorer
Press Alt plus T to go to the tools menu.
Press up arrow once to land on folder options and then press enter.
You should now be in a dialogue box. Press control plus tab until you hear
that you are on the View page.

Press tab twice and Jaws should say Tree view.
Now cursor down a long list of settings until you hear show hidden files
and folders. Pressing the space bar here will toggle the setting on or off.
Obviously you need to set it to ON. Jaws will tell you what it is set to.

Now tab twice to get to OK and press enter. Do not press on the restore
defaults button as this will lose your changes.

You should now be able to see both hidden files and folders including your
local setting folder.

It is worth checking all the profile folders , that is the folder with your
name , the folder called All Users and the folder you may be able to see
called Administrator, as different programs use different folders . I think
you know already that these are stored in your documents and settings
folder.

Hope that you find what you are looking for.

Regards

David Griffith
