Do you have a Dell computer?
That's the one that I'm using, & the head phone jack is the one on the
inside or the second jack.
To clarify it is the mic jack, headphone jack then I have 2 ubs jacks too.

Hi, I just tried a music CD in my drive and that's not the problem. My jacks
are closer to the power button rather than next to the CD drive anyway.

Not sure if this point has been made yet, but if you are talking of a
jack
socket next to the CD/DVD drawer, on some machines, the output to that
comes direct from the player rather than from the sound card and so only
plays what is coming from your cd/dvd drive. In fact, you will still find
the odd computer where there is a volume control there as well...
You might try putting a music CD in the player with headphones plugged in
to
the jack in question, just to rule that out...
I'm probably talking rubbish, but give it a whirl just in case...

Hi, thanks, but I tried that, it's not working. The speakers nor the
headphones work in either of the front two jacks, even if there's nothing
plugged into the jacks on the back of the computer.
Any other ideas, maybe?
