Also, you need to realize that since the scripts are not working properly,
I'd rather not install them and do as i do now:
I've downloaded (and installed and configured) MeSpeak, which is based on
ESpeak. It reads the incoming messages, status changes, personal message
changes and stuff automatically. The configuration page is not really
accessible, and without it, you'll have to do what I used to do (press tab
and down arrow to read the last message).
All and all, if you don't have a lot of experience with configuring
software, and if you are not one who'd mess with these things, I'd suggest
using Windows Live Messenger, because despite all of it's problems, it's
easy to use and usually requires no configuration, not to mention it's
working scripts.

I did such a turtorial a while back for the JAWS friendly Miranda about
two years ago, I believe.
