Sorry, I guess I had the wording a little off in my previous email.
So just in case you end up with this weird keyboard problem with the Dell
laptop

1 Go to the run dialog box. (in start menu)
2. Type msconfig
3. Use control tab to get to the start tab of the dialog.
4. Unclick the items that don't seem to be actual Microsoft programs or your
anti virus. You might want to try a few at a time until the problem is
solved.
5. I think you have to restart after unclicking or making changes to the
start page..
6. A dialog will come up asking something about the changes. When you are
sure things are working smoothly with the keyboard again you can click the
don't show this again or something of that nature.

When I was doing it under the direction of the FS tech he got a little
overboard with his advice to unclick items and when it restarted I had no
sound. Had to get a sighted friend to come and restore the default and
start over. That is why I recommend just unclicking a few items at a time
and start with printer applications.

Hope this helps. I presume that this is a problem pretty much just for Dell
computers since the FS people were not familiar with it. I also remember an
email a while back from someone saying that a Dell was not working with Jaws
and was going to be replaced. I suspect the keyboard thing may have been
the problem.

We figured out that it was necessary to go to the msconfig from the
