Export them as .wav, and then use something like NCH's switch to convert
them into MP3.

Basically, apart from the tutorial I think I got off of the
blind-computing
audio page, I use Ctrl + F6 to move between the different areas of it's
interface after importing an audio file, then in the selection area, I tab
to the start/end entry points, and type in the relevant values, then hit
Ctrl + C, open a new project and hit Ctrl + V.
This might be a bit of a simplistic version, and haven't done it
redcently,
but it's worked for me in the past.

Yes, I do have Audacity installed on my PC, but I wasn't sure how
