Try out web drive folks. This puppy actually makes it so your remote server is treated exactly like any other drive in windows explorer. It's around $80 so not cheep but it does the trick and I've been using it for almost 2 years already. Hello all, Please check out Flash FXP (www.flashfxp.com). It's a fantastic piece of shareware, and it allows you to transfer files from and to an FTP server. On my broadband connection I can get up to 1.0MBPS transfer speed. Quite accessible with screen readers. Not sure of the price, but you do have 30 days to try it out.
