I read about that on the internet. Or I Googled it up. It said, that you
should let it run it's course without interruption. It does actually free
up some space. I don't exactly remember all the specifics, but I know to
let it compact.

I periodically get that stupid message when exiting O.E.
When I tell it to go ahead and do its thing, I get that annoying error
ding and
a message to the effect that o.e. is running, and thusly it can't do the
compacting or whatever it does.
What's going on anyway??
