Thank you for the information. Which of these two drive wipe utilities is
preferable? Is one easier to use than the other? I remember in my earlier
windows days playing with a file shredder and erasing everything on my desktop.
In this case I want to wipe out an entire drive. However, I hope I don't wipe
my main on board drive. Smile.

It used to be that there was a disk wipe utility as part of my
Norton's. I am not seeing it in my current version. Which disk wipe
utilities have people on the list had success with? I have heard the term
military wipe and that sounds like the type of thing I am looking for to
clean off old hard drives.
