I am curious on how something like this could be used with jaws, or any other screen reader for that matter. I guess if it were a matter of just getting rid of certain files it would be ok but how would you clean the intire drive. I always figured you would have to boot into another, say, live cd and do it from there. I was going to ask if something like grml would have the tools to get something like this done. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Ferrin" <[email protected]>

They both work very well. I normally just use wipe drive but either of them
will do the job.

Hi Mark,
I can't tell you, I haven't used either one of them,
but I believe that David has, maybe with luck he'll jump in here.

Hi Richard,
Thank you for the information. Which of these two drive wipe utilities
is preferable? Is one easier to use than the other? I remember in my earlier
windows days playing with a file shredder and erasing everything on my
desktop. In this case I want to wipe out an entire drive. However, I hope I
don't wipe my main on board drive. Smile.

God bless,
Mark

Hi
It used to be that there was a disk wipe utility as part of my
Norton's. I am not seeing it in my current version. Which disk wipe
utilities have people on the list had success with? I have heard the term
military wipe and that sounds like the type of thing I am looking for to
clean off old hard drives.
    Thank you.

God bless,
Mark
