hi Deanne
thanks for that, it turned out to be nothing that would have shown up on
their web page.
not that good at explaining where this item is, but it wasn't an obvious
one. or not to me any way. *smiles*

If you go to gmail.com and sign in to your gmail account, you will find a
link on the settings page labeled Forwarding and POP/IMAP. On that page,
look for a link that says "configuration instructions." There you will
find an explanation for setting up your gmail account with outlook,
Outlook express, Vista, or XP. It takes you step by step through the
process of setting up the outlook or outlook express account, so you can
check to see if all of your settings are correct for receiving gmail.
Maybe this will help??

It has done that to me before. The one that did it was my Yahoo
account. I also have Gmail and it works fine. Did you make sure the
remember dialog box was checked?

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Annoying problem with gmail
Hi folks
can anyone help me with this annoying problem I have with gmail?
I am using outlook express to read my gmail and for some unknown
reasons each time I go to send an email I get a pop up where I have to
insert my username and password before my mail is sent.
does any one know how to fix this so it doesn't keep asking me?
I've tried re installing my account but it doesn't solve the problem.
thanks in advance.
Elaine
