hi Rosemarie
ok, lets see if I can explain where this item was. I'm assuming you checked
all settings? I did that too. *smiles*
if you go in to the accounts section, go to preferences on your email
account.
tab to the server tab.
tab over to where it says settings.
if I'm correct, this is a radio button, it should be set to the first
option, use same settings as my incoming server. or something like that.
then hit ok.
if yours is like mine, it will be set to the other radio button, this then
has boxes for username and password.
since I've changed this setting I don't get the log in screen, it just sends
emails as it used to do.
weird though, as I don't remember changing that setting.
any way, hope it helps solve your issue.
actually thinking about things, I'm sure I've got a text file here with all
the gmail settings. would it help if I sent it to you?

Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] Annoying problem with gmail
Hi, Elaine
I just got that same problem with my verizon account so what I'm doing
is just going on to the web and signing in rather than deal with
having to type in my password over and over again. It sounds more like
an outlook express problem rather than a gmail problem.

Hi folks
can anyone help me with this annoying problem I have with gmail?
I am using outlook express to read my gmail and for some unknown reasons
each time I go to send an email I get a pop up where I have to insert my
username and password before my mail is sent.
does any one know how to fix this so it doesn't keep asking me?
I've tried re installing my account but it doesn't solve the problem.
thanks in advance.
Elaine
