Simplest way for me is to find an MP3 file, right click on it, go down to
open with... submenu, right arrow to open it if it's there, arrow up or down
to choose program... and then in that dialogue you can select winamp and
tell it to be the default application.
Alternatively it's also possible to get winamp to do it for you from it's
options dialogue - Alt + F, down to winamp preferences, hit enter, and then
look for something like file types there.
