Hi Marilyn, Why are you wanting to uninstall Avast? I have been using Avast for well over a year and like it very much. The only thing I don't like about it, is that you have to use it manually and can't program it to run on a schedule. Take care. Mike

Jaws doesn't work in that mode. Before you tried to uninstall Avast, did you disable it / turn it off through the system tray? I know that you can't uninstall a program if it is running in the background. If anything I have said here is wrong, would someone jump in and set me straight? Take care.
