Hi John,

I have been removing my flash drives incorrectly. I have been closing them
and then just pulling them out. I need to start using the safely remove
hardware application and make it a habit. Hopefully it is a personal error
and not a bad flash drive. Thank you very much for your response. Take
care.
Mike

Hi Mike,
If you are removing the drive properly, either by ejecting it or through the
"safely remove hardware" aplet then you may have a bad piece of memory.

Hi Gerald,

I checked it this morning to make sure that is formatted in NTSF and went
ahead and reformatted it again. I have had a couple of problems with this
particular flash drive in the past and so I made sure it was clean before
putting all the same information on it again today. We'll see if these
files disappear or not. Thanks for your response. Take care.
Mike

Is your flash drive formatted to NTFS? Normally, flash drives come
formatted to FAT32, which has a size limitation of 2gb. So maybe you
actually only successfully downloaded 12 files instead of the 45 you
  thought. Just a hunch.
